Welcome to the 30th Annual Sanjoy K. Mitter LIDS Student Conference!
The annual LIDS Student Conference is a student-organized, student-run conference that provides an opportunity for graduate students and postdocs to present their research to peers as well as to the community at large. This year, we are delighted to welcome four distinguished plenary speakers accompanying student sessions across LIDS research domains, including: Control & Dynamical Systems, Inference & Information, Optimization & Robotics, and Efficient & Fair learning.
This year's conference is special: It has been 30 years since the late Sanjoy K. Mitter founded the student conference. To celebrate, the conference is being revamped in a variety of ways. There will be a new social hour with hors d'oeuvres and fine beverages following the first day of the conference, a dinner reception following the second day of the conference, and a newly added academic debate on a timely, hotly contested research topic.
